High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

This place is disgusting. Tried to eat here again after the first horrible meal I've had before. Nothing changed. My steak didn't even seem like real steak. My steamed vegetables tasted weird and had plastic in it. I told the waitress about it, and she just laughed?? never again!

As long as you're not expecting them to open the doors, seat, or serve you right when they open you should be ok. Stopping by fifteen minutes later is usually good.

Well, first of all, it's a chain ... so don't expect much. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for drinks and appetizers. My tall Jamieson and Ginger was mostly ice ... not much taste either. It could have been a switch from my call to a well Scotch ... it was so watery, I wouldn't have been able to tell. Then they charged me $8.00 for the thing! Chicken Quesadillas were a tasty appetizer, but overpriced for what you got. What did I expect? It is an Applebees!

Terrible! I had the Baked French Onion Soup and Fiesta Chicken Salad. The soup would have been good if they didn't slap a burnt piece of toast in the middle! I really should have posted a pic of the salad. Since when did the number one ingredient for salad turn to cheese instead of lettuce!? Pissed! I want lettuce in my salad. Make some changes Applebee's! 1 Star!

Stopped by this location for a quick meal Sunday. Spent a few minutes waiting to be greeted at the door when a young man came up and seated us then dropped off utensils and menu's. After perusing the menu's for more than ten minutes no-one bothered to either take our drink orders or check on us and they weren't even busy. After discussing it with my partner we both agreed to walk out! Don't think I'll give Applebee's another chance after that fiasco.

It's an Applebees so you know what the means but normally, Applebees is consistent no matter where in the country you are and there is usually something for everyone. The food was normal but OMG, the service was SOOOOOOOOO slow. It took forever for the waiter to come and get our drink orders. Then, it took forever for him to actually bring some of the drinks. One drink never came (a margarita) and our waiter kept blaming it on the bartender and I never saw a bartender. We gave up on the drink and the manager actually took off one of the entrees even though we didn't complain or ask him to, we just asked that it be taken off our check. Still only giving it 2 stars because it was that slow though.

I love this place. Only thing that really bugs me is the waiters and waitresses. It's like they don't even care. I've been a waitress for fine dining. Ik it's hard but at least when not happy you fake it or show it where customers can't see. Some of them are really really nice though and when one woman (our waitress) had our table on my graduation dinner we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. She had about 4 other tables and helping two other workers who I assume were new since as often as I come here, had never seen before. She forgot them and then gave them to us free and when available kept congratulating me and saying she saw me so often come in there studying and eating and she congratulating cause she knew how hard I had worked. This meant so much to me. She was also very helpful on explaining any questions we had about the food and told us of all the great deals. Where other time we had a waitress who not only forgot our drinks ordered the wrong dish for my brother and then charged him with that which was like $4 dollars more. Um, no. This place can be great but surely needs help with some of the staff.

Aboslute worst customer service I've ever experienced. From the front door to speak with a manager, they should all be disappointed in the way they handle their business and more importantly their customer's image of them. Let's start with the beginning of my experience. I went in with 3 adults and a child clearly under the age of one was told by the host there wasnt any available booths, and offered us a seat in the lounge where it is a smoking enviroment. We rejected. Offered to wait for available seating. Watch the host walk to an empty booth, take the dirty plates off on put onto the table right across from us and set the table for us. After being sat, waited atleast 20 minutes for our drinks to be taken from our waitress Tori who clearly only had a 6 top two tables away from us. She didn't even deliver our drinks to us, another server who had just been cut did. She came by to ask we were ready, we asked for a few more minutes but put in fried green beans and a side of mash for the child as a starter. Never heard or seen from her after the delivery of those. And we could clearly see her avoiding us, and running to the every need of the 6 top she had. After being there over an hour, ready to order & patiently waiting, I went and brought myself up to the host and asked to speak with a manager. The manager on duty didn't even meet with me at the host podium, but instead brought herself over to the table where my guest were sitting and was in my friends face saying "did you need something?" "Is there a problem?" After seeing her address my party, i walked over and politely told her it was I whom had wanted to speak with her explained what had happened, she asked what it is she could do? After being disrespected and no hospitality being shown within this restaurant, we all told her we just wanyed our check. The server walked up after the manager and said " since yall wont be eating, here's your check." Placed it down and never came back. I will continue to enjoy my wonton tacos from the Applebees Corp but never within the Ocean Springs location. Cedar Lake is alot smaller and less people but they do whats right within a restaurant and I've never been disappointed once. I'm not one to call corporate but this applebees needs some new managers, and employees who know how a service industry is ran. On a side note to those reading, Cedar lake is only 15 minutes from this location & will be more than haappy for yall's company at their location if interested.

My husband and I had the worst experience from the first step into the door. The girl seating us didn't want to put us into a booth because she didn't think we would "fit." Which btw we fit in just fine. I ordered the sirloin with steamed veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. I asked for a medium steak that came out well done. The carrots in my "steamed" veggies were still crunchy and the garlic mashed potatoes had absolutely no flavor. I had to actually add salt and pepper to them, which I've never had to do anywhere. Service was slow and at times non existent. Very dissatisfied with this place and will probably never be back.

Top shelf Long Island was amazing. Service is mediocre. Asked for a bowl of fruit for my toddler and they advised they didn't have that. Average service says "no". Great service finds a way to make it happen. Food was good. Decor was VERY nice for a Applebee's. Every other aspect of the visit was quite tolerable..

Not much good to say about this particular Applebee's. My wife had been told that this one had a bad reputation, but someone else in our party was set on going here. First problem, A waitress swept up a plume of dust right next to our table and we had to cover our drinks (food had not yet arrived thankfully). Do they not have the roller sweepers that other restaurants have that keeps the dust contained? Next I recommend going to the bar to order a drink so you watch the bartender make it. I got a $6 Long Island iced tea that tasted watered down with little to no alcohol in it. If you decide to go there and wonder why most of the steaks on the menu have toppings it is because it is an absolutely tasteless low grade steak. I got a steak with no toppings and it honestly had no taste. I tried to doctor it up with salt, pepper, and A1 sauce. The real kicker here is that 3 of the 5 in our party got sick within an hour of eating here. I didn't make it home before I had to puke and woke up in the middle of the night with diarrhea and still have spent half of the morning on the toilet. My wife tried to warn us and we should have listened! That person that was dead set on going there, called this morning asking if anybody else got sick. I don't think she will be dead set on going there again anytime soon!

I was thoroughly impressed with their 9 oz Sirloin Steak. Really good! The Server was nervous or something and he asked if we wanted our drinks to go way too many times. My husband finally said "OK, we get the hint!" and we got up to leave! It was kinda funny actually! Overall I think it's a good meal for the price.
